Okra

Adoption fee:$150.00
Arrived in March of 2016

Okra is a male Chihuahua. He is sweet, energetic, very social. Okra loves attention, the more the merrier! He may do well with other dogs his size pending a personality match-up. He should be fine with cats with a proper introduction. Like most little dogs, older children is strongly recommended. Okra can be noise reactive, so we do not recommend him for apartments. At this time we recommend a fenced-in yard to keep him safe and home. Okra is a wonderful little boy that will make a awesome companion for the right family.

*All HSSCM dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micorchipped.*

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Okra, a Battle Creek Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Battle Creek, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Battle Creek.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Battle Creek already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Battle Creek breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Battle Creek paves the way for another one to be saved.
