My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Blue! I am about 9 months old. I weigh around 20 lbs. My foster parents said that even though they love me, it was time I told everyone a little about myself so I can find my perfect forever home.
My life before coming to BREW wasn’t much fun. My foster parents can tell you more if you are interested.
I can be very timid and shy at first, but am learning that humans are good. I have even gotten to know some younger kids.
Foster mom says I am really smart and have done awesome potty training. I have a dog yard here, so I really haven’t learned about going potty on a leash yet. Foster mom says I need to try when we go for walks, but I’m too busy sniffing and learning about the outside world.
Three other Beagles came with my foster home. Sometimes they don’t want to play with me, so I entertain myself. I am still learning the difference between toys and what things (like shoes) are off limits.
There is also a cat. I like to bark at her, but she just sits there and looks at me. I’ve decided she’s not much fun. I really don’t bark much at all, which my foster parents say is really good. I might do okay in an apartment.
Speaking of toys, I have a couple very important jobs here. One is toy sorting. As soon as my mom puts them all in the toy box, I get them back out to make sure none are missing. I will also take them outside into the dog yard to play with them.
My other job is stuffing removal. I have been told that I do a great job at it!
I am doing very well with my crate training. It’s not my favorite place to be, but I have to spend about 4 hours every day in it while my foster parents are at work. They give me a Kong filled with goodies, so that helps.
If you would like to know more about me, please contact the great people here at Midwest BREW!
