Important Note

Lizzie-BONDED with Rocky is best friends with Rocky-BONDED with Lizzie. Please adopt both of them so they can stay together!
To adopt these 2 kitties, just send an emal to wilson.animal.rescue@fuse.net and we will email you the application.

Rocky and Lizzie are 7 year old brother and sister team. They have been together all of their kitty lives and we would love to find a home that will adopt both of them.

They are both up to date on shots, spay/neutered, blood tested, microchipped and dewormed.

They are big cats weighing about 15 pounds. They are good with older kids and dogs.

They love to play and explore but most of all they are lap cats.

Unfortunately their current owner is trying to find them a great home because his new wife is severely allergic to them. They have to stay in the unfinished basement now and their owner feels this is not good for them because they are so social and loves to just be around people. The owner also built a cat enclosure so the cats can get fresh air and are not always be in the basement. The family is trying to do what is best for the pets and the best thing for these wonderful kitties is to rehome them.

Just send an email to wilson.animal.rescue@fuse.net and we will email you an application. Thanks!

About Wilson Animal Rescue dba Wags and Whiskers Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a non-profit (501 (c)(3), group of foster family volunteers who strive to provide assistance for highly adoptable, unwanted, lost and neglected animals by providing humane education, veterinary care, animal rescue and by actively encouraging pet population control through spay and neuter. We pull 99% of our pets from local county shelters. Several county shelters call when they are getting full and we pull as many as our homes will allow. We also provide a $25 spay/neuter program for all cats in our tri-state area. And, we offer a low cost spay/neuter dog program as low as $35-55.

Once we have a rescue, they go to a foster home to wait for their forever family. They live with our families, our pets, and our children.

All of our pets are spayed or neutered before adoption or have such certificate to get it done for free. We also start immunizations on puppies and kittens at 8 weeks. We deworm, deflea, and treat for ear mites. We also Fel Leuk/FIV blood test our kitties and Heartworm test our dogs.

All of our cats and kittens must be adopted as strictly indoor. All of our dogs and puppies must be adopted as a *housedog only and we do require a secure fenced in yard. (*We only have one exception as we do have a hound dog that is terrified of crates and confinement in a house and will do best as an outside dog with other animal companions. No chains or kennels allowed. He will do great on acreage of 15+)

We do rescue work with pets because we value life. As humans we domesticated cats and dogs and our society needs to take ownership to treat them with respect. We also see a need to teach people the proper handling of pets and the value of spay/neuter. Pet ownership is a privilege and a life long commitment.
