Alana's Info...

I am good with cats.

Alana's Story...
Alana came to us as a stray, brought to our booth at the local Home & Garden Show. Needless to say, she stole the show! Fearless Alana is now in a foster home with several grown cats. She likes to ambush them when they come through the doorway, swat at their tails when they're not looking, and push her nose into their food bowls. She's equally fond of people and will spend hours in a lap, purring and napping. She hasn't met any dogs while in our care, but would probably do fine if introduced slowly to a cat-savvy dog For more information and to meet her, call us at 775 423-8650. It will be early May before she is big enough to spay and go home with you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alana, a Fallon Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Fallon, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Fallon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fallon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fallon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fallon paves the way for another one to be saved.
