My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi I'm Cheyenne,
I was out for a stroll with my four brothers and sisters, when the dog catcher picked us up. I sat at PAWS (Animal Control) waiting for my owner to come and claim us but, they never did. After three days I was available for adoption but to my surprise no one chose to adopt me, maybe it was because I'm such a quiet girl......I just don't know! As time went on I became more and more depressed, which didn't help my situation.
Well, the end of my time had come, I heard them say that today I would get put to sleep. I know, I look tired but, I'm really not.
On my last hour, I had a visitor from Compassionate Hearts, she took me outside and loved on me. I showed her just how cute, I could be. I wiggled around and gave her kisses. I even showed her that I just ADORED kids. Maybe those kisses saved my life?!
Oh! No! she put me back in the cage. She was told that she wouldn't be able to take me because it was to close to closing time. She pleaded with the officer and asked if she would put a hold on me for Compassionate Hearts and she would be back when they opened the next day. They agreed to hold me for her.
When she arrived to rescue me, I was so excited, I could just jump for joy but, I wasn't feeling well so, I didn't even lift my head. She opened my cage and picked me up. I was so happy, I must have given her 100 kisses. I was on my way to my new foster home to meet my foster fur-brothers and sisters....how exciting!. For some reason my foster Mom decided to look at my teeth and saw that my gums were as white as my teeth. I guess, I'll see my foster home later because she took me straight to the Vet.. The Vet said, I had the worst case of worms he had ever seen. Well that explains how bad I'd been feeling. My foster Mom gave me dewormer and now I'm a new girl. I'm just full of life and sweet as can be. I'm not overly hyper but, I am playful. PAWS thought I was a Jack Russel mix but, the Vet said I am a whippet mix. What ever I am, I sure am cute, if I do say so myself. I am a mere 13 lbs and 10 months old. My foster Mom doesn't think I'll get much bigger because, I have tiny paws. I love everyone furry or not. I simply ADORE my human foster brothers. I light up when they enter the room. They love me too! I am a great cuddler and if you adopt me, I promise to thank you with kisses. I'm still a tad bit shy and quiet but, I open up pretty quickly when I meet new people.
Soon I'll have a home to call my very own. If you have room in your heart and home, can your home be my home too? If so, please email for an application. Compassionate Hearts wants to make sure I get a wonderful place to call home.
Wiggles and Wags,
Cheyenne
