Hello, there! I'm Tango, and I have a secret. I was found as a stray in my foster meowmy's neighborhood. They thought I might have a broken leg, but it turns out I have a disintegrated disk in my lower spine that was making me walk funny. I got some laser therapy treatments and some medication, and now I am walking well. I may need these two or three times a year, but Stray Haven will cover my treatments and medications.

When they examined me, they discovered that I have a microchip. It was never registered to an owner, but it traced back to a TNR group in Chicago! How a sweet, friendly, declawed senior kitty like me got all the way to St. Louis from Chicago, nobody knows. That's my secret, and I'm not talking!

The vet thinks I am about 12-13 years old, but I could be older. I've had a dental cleaning and bloodwork done. I have been diagnosed with CKD (chronic kidney disease), so I'm on low phosphorous food (which Stray Haven will provide), and I may need subcutaneous fluids administered once or twice a week (but this is super easy to do at home). I get along just fine with other cats, and kids should be fine, too (and probably a cat friendly dog). I am a really laid back guy, so my foster meowmy thinks I will adjust easily to just about any household.

Senior cats are great! We don't climb your curtains or tear through the house full speed at 3am. We just like to lay around and be loved on. Won't you give a senior kitty a chance? Cats can live to be 20 or more! I am available as part of our Senior Cats for Senior Laps foster program or for regular adoption.
