EXPERIENCED DOG AND PUPPY OWNERS ONLY.This is a tough one for us. April was one of many dogs wandering around a country property in South Carolina. The result of one of many accidental pregnancies of dogs that are not spayed and neutered (we have since taken care of that) this girl does not understand the kind touch and care of humans. She is about 4 months old. April is now with our wonderful foster, playing and socializing with all the other dogs beautifully. When a person comes near she has no idea what to expect, or what to do. Although she is starting to warm to the possibility that people are okay, it's going to take time. No biting or aggressiveness at all. She loves the other dogs and runs and plays with them all over the yard. She will come up to her foster Mom now and let her pet her, where two weeks ago this was not the case. She just needs a safe place to land with owners who will understand that she will need time to learn to trust new people. We are looking for someone who has that time and patience to help bring this beautiful girl around. We don't believe she's broken just a little bent, and we are hoping there is someone with a heart of gold to give this girl the life she cannot yet imagine.
