Rosie's Story...
Meet Rosie, our latest addition to FOTA family of fosters, and quite possibly one of the most irresistible, 5-months-old pups that you can imagine! Rosie currently weighs a cute and cuddly 26 pounds and her foster mom tells us that this sweet pup is super smart, too. Rosie is already responding to "sit" and she's doing great on her housetraining. And Rosie is cooperative and eager-to-please, so further training should be a snap for this little canine Einstein!
Our best guess is that Rosie is a Boxer/Staffordshire Terrier mix, although there could be some Lab in her as well. We're guessing her adult weight will be around 40 lbs. Her foster home reports that she's fabulous!

For more information on Rosie, please email pbschoen18@gmail.com or call/text (225) 205-9330.

You might also be able to catch Rosie at our Dog Adoption House at 8476 Highland Rd! The hours are M-F: 11:30-5pm / Sat & Sun: 11-3pm! However, be sure contact Rosie's foster home first at to make they will be there on that day.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rosie, a Baton Rouge Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Boxer for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Boxer dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Boxer breeders who help with Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
