Robbie was found living near a dumpster by a restaurant in Collinsville, IL; no doubt looking for food and/or someone to take care of him. He is the sweetest, silliest and happiest of kitties... he just wants to be near you and be loved. Poor Robbie was very sick when we rescued him - he caught a virus that caused him to have a very high fever and he spent 10 days in the hospital receiving care/treatment. Despite feeling awful, he was the perfect patient and nuzzled and gave hugs to everyone who cared for him. Fortunately, he recovered and is now back to his old playful and friendly self. Robbie LOVES to play and will entertain himself for hours batting around his toys and chasing laser lights. He's still learning manners about not nipping/using his teeth when he plays, but he's not aggressive at all about it; he just doesn't know how to properly play or understand boundaries. I'm working with him on this and he's definitely getting better so I don't think it will a problem long-term, but he may need redirection on occasion. Nonetheless, he's an awesome cat and when he's not playing, he's usually curled up on my lap or around my neck cuddling and purring contently. Robbie seems to do fine with other cats but he can play a bit rough, so he would not do well with an older or timid kitty that would be easily intimidated by his energetic nature. A cat-friendly dog shouldn't be a problem for him. Robbie is neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and current on vaccinations. His DOB is 3/10/15 - tag # 10287.
