Booker's Story...
Meet Booker!
Booker is one fine gentleman! He is 12 years old and 21lbs. He is crate and house trained. Booker is good with other dogs, cats. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on all of his shots, and on heart worm prevention. He needs eye ointment for his allergies, and joint supplements for his arthritis daily. He also has a mild heart murmur, so a calm home would be ideal for this sweet boy. He has developed Cogestive Heart Failure, and is currently on two inexpensive medications to help stabilize his blood pressure and fluid retention. A home without small children would be best, but he is great with kids over 10. He recently had a couple of benign masses removed. If you would like to give Booker his forever home, please apply for adoption at southerncrossbtr.com. His adoption fee is $150. Thank you for choosing rescue!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Booker, a Jackson Boston Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boston Terrier for sale in Jackson, or seeking a Boston Terrier dog from a breeder in Jackson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jackson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jackson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boston Terrier breeders who help with Boston Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jackson paves the way for another one to be saved.
