Petey's Story...
Hi my name is Petey and I have had a rough start in life. I was found in the back of a pick-up truck dirty, thin and scared, but now that I am with Pitties & Purrs all that has changed! I am putting on weight and meeting new friends and even have a little butt wag for my caregivers although I am still quite shy around new people. I would really love a foster home or a forever home as I don't know what it's like to have a proper home as I am currently in boarding. Please help Petey heal by contacting adoptpitties@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Petey, a Baltimore Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Baltimore, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Baltimore.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baltimore already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baltimore breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baltimore paves the way for another one to be saved.
