My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jackpot is a 1 ½ year old boy brimming with energy, he’s about 65lbs, possibly a Shepherd Hound Shar Pei mix. He’s energetic and happy so his ideal family would be one that is active and likes to go for lots of walks where older kids (probably 10 and up) will play with him…maybe throw a ball in the backyard and be silly. He is super friendly but he needs some help on working through some separation anxiety (this isn’t a hard thing to work through, just takes patience and time – repetition is your friend) He is good on a leash and hasn’t had an accident at his foster home, but may need some help fine tuning his potty training. He was rescued from Dallas Animal Services with two broken legs, poor guy seems to have been hit by a car. He's had surgery on both of them, the front leg was shattered and they had to put it back together with plates and pins. The back leg was broken in half. His recovery has had a few setbacks but he is healing and almost completely recovered now. He's walking and running and should get his front cast off next week. His first savior was in town for a company meeting where she saw him at Dallas Animal Services and posted on the company site about his plight. People from all over the company stepped up to help save this wonderful boy including the one who said "I'll foster!" Now we just need to help them find a great forever home for him.
