Harley's Story...
Harley is an adorable 3 year old Boxer/beagle mix. She is very relaxed and prefers to chill out on the couch catching up on the latest soap operas. She will never turn down a long hike through the woods though. She is housebroken and does wonderful on a leash. She does fine with other dogs. She is currently being fostered in Mississippi and will be transported via All Paws transport services upon adoption. Her adoption fee is $400 and includes spay, age appropriate vaccinations, a nose to tail vet check, and transport costs. She is not available in MA or RI.

Second Chances is a rescue organization based out of Pontotoc, Mississippi which adopts dogs and puppies all over the Northeastern United States. All of our dogs and puppies are kept in private foster homes in Mississippi until adopted. Our dogs are NEVER in a facility.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harley, a Kittery Boxer/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Beagle for sale in Kittery, or seeking a Boxer/Beagle dog from a breeder in Kittery.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kittery already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kittery breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Beagle breeders who help with Boxer/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kittery paves the way for another one to be saved.
