Auntie Cranberry's Story...
Did you know cranberries are a “super food”? I think that makes me a “super dog,” right? Cuz my name is Cranberry, and I’m part of the Chihuahua “fruit family.” Being a smart person, you probably know that cranberries are usually on the table at Thanksgiving time. Well, I would consider EVERY day Thanksgiving if I had a home to call my own, and as an added bonus, I would promise to stay off of your table! I would very much prefer to be held in your arms or curl up in your lap anyway. I am one year old and weigh 5 pounds, so I’m the perfect size for snuggles. If you’re looking for a sweet little cuddler, please pick me, Cranberry!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Auntie Cranberry, a Shawnee Mission Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Shawnee Mission, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Shawnee Mission.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Shawnee Mission already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Shawnee Mission breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Shawnee Mission paves the way for another one to be saved.
