Ziggy's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Ziggy's Story...
Ziggy is 3 years old, very sweet and an affectionate beagle.   She lived with someone who could no longer take care of her due to their health issues.  So, she is still a little shy due to all the recent changes in her life, but she is very happy to be in your lap or snuggled up close to you on the sofa.

Ziggy likes meeting new people and is very good with kids.  She gets along well with her other beagle housemates, though she seems to enjoy being an only dog so she gets all of the attention.  She uses a doggie door and is house trained as well as crate trained. Ziggy is very well behaved, so she can be left alone in the house with no worries.

Ziggy is not too much of an outdoorsy girl, so she would do well in a home with a small yard or an apartment.  She doesn’t bark much but does like to “whine” her opinions when she is not feeling noticed.   She enjoys going on walks and car rides, which is just what she needs to shed a few of her extra pounds!  She will sleep in her doggie bed, but much prefers to snuggle with her human companions in their bed.

Ziggy will be a great family member for you.  She is a low-maintenance beagle who just needs a lot of snuggles!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ziggy, a Houston Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Houston, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
