Rusty is a handsome mixed breed dog. He's about 1 year old and very sweet and friendly. He and his brother, Rocky (also available) were found as strays out in the county. The nice person who found the dogs is fostering them both until they can find permanent homes. Rusty has a handsome red coat with white markings. He has a great personality and is eager to learn. It would be wonderful if the two brothers could be adopted together. A farm setting or a large backyard would suit these boys to a tee.

Rusty is not at the humane society, he is in a foster home. To meet Rusty please email or call the humane society at 859-238-1117 and we will help make an appointment for a meet & greet.

Remember, puppies require lots of patience and attention. The adoption fee for puppies is $100 and the fee for dogs 6 month and older is $75. This includes mandatory spay/neutering, first vaccinations, de-worming and one-year rabies vaccination. For Boyle County residents, a county license tag also is included

About Danville-boyle Co. Humane Society

About Our Shelter...

The Danville-Boyle County Humane Society accepts both stray animals and owner-surrender animals from Boyle County. We work hard to find loving forever homes for all adoptable dogs, cats, puppies and kittens. We also have a low cost spay/neuter clinic for low income pet owners from Boyle County and the surrounding area.

Come Meet Our Pets...

DBCHS is open 8:30-4:30 Monday through Friday. Saturday 10:00-4:00

Our Adoption Process...

Adopters are required to complete an adoption application. If an adopter rents his/her home we contact the landlord for permission to add a new pet to the home. Mandatory spay or neuter surgery is included in the adoption fee.
