Lucky's Story...
LUCKY - 2 year old BC/Aussie mix. Approx 31 lbs. Good with other dogs. Very gentle but loves to hug you! Nice, well socialized dog. Listens well.
Hi, I'm Lucky. I was a surrender because my owner tired of me but I'm a great dog and incredibly gentle. I am gentle with treats and food, walk great on a leash, and easy to introduce to other dogs. I am also fine with cats, but I prefer my human and love to give hugs. The family who gets me will be lucky too!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucky, a St. Catharines Border Collie/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd for sale in St. Catharines, or seeking a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in St. Catharines.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Catharines already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Catharines breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Border Collie/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Catharines paves the way for another one to be saved.
