Hey there, I’m Onyx, and I’m a very special girl. Do you want to know why? Well, let me tell you. I’m a miracle kitty! I was living on the rough and tumble streets of Powhatan when I was hit by a car. I was taken to the pound, but I could barely walk, and I couldn’t see. Henrico Humane Society rescued me knowing that there might not be a great deal that they could do for me, but with some much needed vet care and a whole lot of love, I’m a healthy, happy cat again. I can walk and I can see! I told you I was a miracle kitty.
My favorite part of my new indoor life is the people. My foster mom took such good care of me that I quickly realized just how wonderful people are. I even met a tiny human the other day who was very nice to play with. I haven’t been around any other kitty or doggie friends, so I’m not sure how I would like living with them. What I am sure of is that I want a forever home with people who will give lots of love and pets and head scratches, and let me curl up in their lap for some snuggle time.
After all I’ve been through, I consider myself to be a very lucky girl, and I wouldn’t mind sharing that luck with someone special. So, if you’re in need of a little extra luck and little more love in your life, I think we’d be a perfect match.
