Farrah's Story...
I was found wandering the country roads in a little pink sweater. They were certain that my owner would come to get me, but no luck. My personality is gentle and very friendly. I jumped right into my founders truck and joyfully laid down for my ride to Heartland. I might actually be a short haired Border Collie. At 42 pounds, I won't eat a lot or take up much room in the home of my new family. BCs are very intelligent and enjoy nothing more than having their minds and bodies challenged by anything you might come up with. I would do best in home where I have a job! ***I have been micro-chipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Farrah, a Hastings Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Hastings, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Hastings.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hastings already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hastings breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hastings paves the way for another one to be saved.
