Daphne's Story...
Daphne!

Young Adult Female Dachshund!

Owner surrender.

Lap dog extraordinaire. Emotionally secure, mutually satisfying, low-maintenance relationship. Daphne just wants to sit at your feet (or LAP!), walk by your side, and be a devoted companion forever. Enjoys and prefers the easy life. Would love watching movies, curling up on laps, and walking very short distances from the couch to the food bowl and back. Rides well in the car and is willing to go on some road trips with her new adopter. Always looking for attention and love from humans. Would suit well with another laid back dog that doesn't expect much of a play pal. Good with kiddos. House broken. Would fit well into a calm, relaxed lifestyle home setting. Needs someone to show her unconditional love!

Adoption fee covers (if not done already) vaccinations, spay/neuter, and flea/tick/de-worming treatments.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daphne, a Woodward Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Woodward, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Woodward.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Woodward already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Woodward breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Woodward paves the way for another one to be saved.
