Good with other cats if she can be the “Queen Bee.”

Flower of the month at OAR; that is Rosebud. She is perky, cute, and just plain delightful. A kitty that will make you smile. Rosebud was rescued from a local kill shelter as part of the Freedom Ride Program at OAR. She had some health issues in the beginning, but she is all fine now, and ready to be someone’s ‘purr’sonal BFF. She definitely is a fluffy kitty with a gorgeous coat that comes with a feathered necklace highlighted in red. Rosebud loves petting and scratching, and will rub and wind around your legs while chirping until she gets your undivided attention. She also has a playful side, and totally pleasures in a feathered wand. Rosebud doesn’t seem to mind others cats, but she pretty much wants to be top kitty with all the admiration focused on her. When she has had her fill of love and attention, and she is “done with you” for the moment, she might get a little grumpy. But it doesn’t last long. A nice long nap is just the cure. Come and have a meet-n-greet with Rosebud. She just may be the flower you will pick!..

Our Adoption Process...

We have many cats and kittens looking for wonderful homes! All of our cats are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, tested for FIV and Feline Leukemia, and microchipped. Adoption fee is $50. Because we like for our cats to go home in pairs, we have a standing 2 for 1 adoption special -- you can adopt 2 cats for one fee of $50.

Meet some of our cats and kittens, and fill out an application today! An OAR representative will get in touch with you to discuss your application. We do require a phone screening before an adoption so if you are coming to visit the cats and hope to take a cat or kitten home that day, fill out and submit the application at least a day beforehand so we can pre-approve your adoption.

As of 3/7/12, our adoption policy requires that the adopters of our cats not declaw the cats, no matter what the cat's age. We will, with our adoption counselors' help, provide potential adopters with information on alternatives to declawing. We also sometimes have previously declawed cats up for adoption. These can be a good alternative for adopters who are adamant about declawing.
