Hi folks! I'm just over 2 years old now, and had my annual visit with a doggie doctor recently who said I am healthy, well muscled, and a lean 76lbs! I have been enjoying the snow, even if it isn't a whole lot this winter. I am interested in food of all kinds, and I'll show you how many things I know how to do if you ask, but be ready with that treat! The newest thing my foster parents taught me is this thing called "high five"! Some times I will give them a "high ten" if the treats are really good.

I've gotten pretty good at shaking hands, both left and right, especially when food or treats are involved!

Hi I’m Max!! I’m a young energetic boy almost 2 years old. To some, I’m a big boy being very tall but lean due to my shepherd mix. I was originally surrendered to ACCT, adopted out, and returned again because my family did not help me to get all my puppy energy out. I LOVE to play fetch & go on walks. I walk best on my harness. I am very loyal also like a shepherd and I am best with someone who will stand firm in commanding me, teach me how to stick by your side & I’ll love you forever!

I am fully house trained and I know many of the basic commands. I’m a hungry boy, but have learned to be patient for my meals. Also, I am very treat motivated which helps in my training and makes me eager to learn more! It has been mentioned I’m a little too excited for cats so they’re not recommended with me. I also need a little more training on how to contain my energy and not jump up when meeting new people. But a fur-brother or sister would be great to play with to help keep my energy at bay, or if you have a farm, I could help you herd your cattle. My current foster sister & I get along great. I would recommend a slow introduction and once we know each other we will become the best of friends! I have very good crate manners and love if you would make me a little den of my own in your home.

About Mostly Muttz Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Mostly Muttz Rescue is an IRS registered, 501(c)3, public charity that is an all-volunteer, foster based canine rescue striving to keep man’s best friend from dying alone in the shelter system.

We believe that every dog, regardless of health, deserves at least a fighting chance to live, to love and to be loved for the entirety of their life. At Mostly Muttz Rescue, we often choose to save dogs suffering from curable illnesses within the shelter system rather than rescuing dogs that will be easy to place.
