Boz's Story...
Hi my name is Boz! I came to the Rescue Project for help finding my forever home. See, I used to live outside and I didn't like it very much. Living in a house is so much better! There are squishy things to sleep on and there is always food. I'm still getting used to these stair things though… sometimes they are tricky. I am a lover boy who is just looking for some attention. I am kennel trained but I don't like to go in there because that means my family is leaving for awhile. My foster mom says that once I am older I probably won't need it anymore. I can't wait to be older! I am working really hard on being potty trained. It can be really confusing when you haven't lived inside before. Carpet looks kinda like grass! But I am trying to learn fast so that I can be adopted. I'm learning how to play with toys too, I never knew how much fun they were! I also like to make new friends of all kinds… people, dogs and even kitties! I would love to have my own kitty someday. I would love to meet you and give you some of my extra special kisses! I am approximately 7-8 months old and weigh about 50lbs right now.

Please contact my friends at kcpetfinder@hotmail.com to meet me. My adoption fee is $175 and includes age appropriate shots, neuter, microchip, and heartworm testing.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Boz, a Overland Park Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
