Whiskey's Story...

Bo is young puppy, around 12 weeks old.  He was given away free, in malnourished condition along with his littermates.  The good samaritan that notified us of the puppies took in one herself and the last pup, Bo, came to us.  All others had gone to homes prior and we hope they have found loving forever homes.  Bo is supposedly a German Shorthair Pointer mix, but without knowing history and lack of GSP characteristics, we simply are calling him a hound because of his ears.  Bo is playful and cuddly, curious and mischievous.  He loves playing with his foster brother, the resident Doxie mix, and the other resident dogs.  He's also getting used to cats.  He will be neutered, microchipped, and UTD on shots prior to his adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Whiskey, a Nesquehoning Hound (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Nesquehoning, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Nesquehoning.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nesquehoning already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nesquehoning breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nesquehoning paves the way for another one to be saved.
