My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Koby, he is a very friendly and calm guy. Koby is a six year old Shepherd/husky mix, weighing 33.2 kilograms. He does best on Iams Vet recommended food and hypo allergic treats.

Koby is good with other dogs and in the past has lived with a cat and another dog. He gets along great with his Rottie/Shepherd foster siblings. He has met a few small children recently and was friendly, happy and calm while they pet him, he has never lived with children but is believed to do fine with them. He does great at daycare, and the dog park. He loves to play with other dogs and has made many friends with small and large dogs of many different breeds. He recently had fun swimming at Water paws Aquatic Centre with the trainer, loves to go on walks, and he is learning how to use the Treadmill.

Koby takes his treats very gently. He does great with run of the house and will sleep in a crate or on a dog bed. He is very respectful of the house. He is comfortable with his foster parents having to go to work and sleeps while he is waiting for them to return. He loves people and his foster mom thinks he would make a great pet therapy dog. Koby is a smart guy, loves positive verbal praise and responds well to training. Koby loves running after the ball with his foster siblings and getting a little peanut butter in his Kong for a treat. He is house trained, neutered and up to date on his vaccinations.

In most photos’ Koby photographs grumpy, which his foster parents think is funny, because he isn’t. He is such a kind, sweet, happy and lovable guy. Koby's foster parents believe he has seen a lot of love and attention in his life, his mom passed away a few days after she had to surrender him to New Hope. After an understandable tough transition into his foster home, he is now the easiest guy to care for. He even lets you brush his teeth with no resistance. If you are looking for a cuddly, fun and calm friend, Koby is your boy
