Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Winnie. I am a shepherd/whippet cross and I am a year-and-a-half old. As you can guess, I have lots and lots of energy. I am a very friendly and loving girl, and I really like everyone I meet. I love to give kisses, hugs, and snuggles. I am presently working on my manners when someone comes home or a guest comes over. I am just so excited to see people! My foster mom says I am making progress on this, and she's confident I will learn this as I am a smart girl. When my foster family comes home, I like to show off a bit. I will pick up a shoe or something else I can find and strut around and show it to them. I don't hurt it; I just want to show off and hear them tell me what a good girl I am.
I have struggled with some anxiety in the past, but for the past month and a half, I've done great! My foster mom thinks this is because I have canine foster siblings, and so I'm never really alone, even when all the people go out. My foster siblings have taught me how to chill out and relax, and they have also played with me lots, which I really, really, really love!!!! Playing is the next best thing to treats!!!
My idea of the perfect home is one where everyone is calm and relaxed, yet active . . . maybe where the people like to hike and jog and go for lots of walks. Also, having a canine sibling who loves to play as much as I do would be a huge asset. My foster mom thinks that with all of my enthusiasm and energy, young children might not be a good idea for me to live with. I'm also very curious about the cat here, and I can't seem to stop being so curious. The cat isn't impressed, so maybe a home without cats is best too.
