Emma's Story...
Emma is a very sweet 5-6 year old, found wandering as a stray. She loves people and is a lap kitty. Good with other cats and with children. She loves to be held like a baby and follows her foster mom around the home. She is spayed, combo tested negative, litter box trained and is up-to-date on vaccines. She needs a loving home where she will no longer have to worry about where her next meal is coming from...where she will be kept indoors and never again have to worry about being homeless. Emma's adoption fee is $20. This little girl is so deserving of a loving home -- let's find her one. She will bring much joy to her new family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Emma, a Concord Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Concord, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Concord.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Concord already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Concord breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Concord paves the way for another one to be saved.
