Meet our Mona!

This lovely Spaniel mix was surrendered to us a little while ago when her owner moved away and didn't want to take her with. A wonderful women took Mona in but couldn't keep her. She contacted us a we got the pleasure of bringing this ball of love into our rescue. Mona is a very sweet young dog who is roughly a year old and very high energy. She would be a great hiking or running buddy. Mona is awesome at meeting other dogs but can get a little fussy when she is on leash (just can't get to them fast enough!). She has great recall and is working on her obedience training. She is bouncy girl that would fit right into an active lifestyle. She gets very attached to her humans and loves to crawl in a lap for some snuggles. She is a gorgeous (as if we needed to tell you) young dog that will settle beautifully in the right household.

We are looking to place Mona with a very active family that has dog training experience and will provide her with a good amount of structure. She will need daily off leash exercise (other than the backyard) where she can play with other dogs and run all her puppy energy out.

If you are interested in our Majestic Mona please email jguff12@gmail.com for more information.

Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mona, a San Francisco Cocker Spaniel/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel/Golden Retriever for sale in San Francisco, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in San Francisco.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Francisco already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Francisco breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Francisco paves the way for another one to be saved.
