My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LYRIC - Hound/Shepherd (?) mix, female, 11 years, 80 lbs. Don't let her unassuming looks and her slightly elder status fool you----this sweetie has lots of life left in her! Lyric came from North Carolina when her family was moving and couldn't take her, so she was headed for the local shelter. A couple "friends of Peppertree" intervened and transported her up north where her happy new life could begin. Lyric is housebroken and gets along wonderfully with all dogs, large and small. She is a smart girl and learns new commands easily. Lyric is interested in cats but would probably be ok with a dog-savvy one who could put her in her place! She loves people---all people---and prefers to be with them whenever she can. Since Lyric was kind of ignored in her previous home for reasons unclear to us, we believe she is simply making up for lost time! She will need a home with a securely fenced yard.
