Agent 009 is a very handsome 1.5 year old beagle x doxie, about 15 lbs. He was part of a family called the Modesto 4- a beagle mom and her three beagle/doxie pups who came from to us in April from a Modesto shelter. They may have been in a hoarding situation. We thought that the mom must have been the mom of 7 beagles that we had previously gotten from Modesto. Those dogs were named Agents 001-007, so the Modesto 4 were named Agents 008-011.
Agent 009 (we call him Nine or Agent Nine) is the last one left here of his family. The mom is very outgoing, but her kids are shy and seem unused to people. 009 has been here many months now and is still a little bit nervous, and barks at strangers. However, he's not at all aggressive, and is still improving. He is getting more and more comfortable with new people, and is barking less than before. His two equally shy siblings have been doing well in their new homes.
He seems like a nice, loyal, and happy little dog. Treats and lots of playtime have softened him up. Once he gets comfortable with someone, he is very loving. He knows some commands and has learned to walk on a leash. Unknown if he's housetrained, though he hasn't had any accidents when in the rescue's house. He hasn't been a big territory marker.
He was very close to his family. He loves dogs and likes playing with them. We often get prospective adopters who are looking for a young dog that will encourage their older dog to play more. Agent 009 would be great for that.
He will be a very entertaining and devoted companion in his future home!
Pls email your ap! It will help him a lot to have another nice doggie in his furever home!
