Neffie is a beautiful and demure dark coated chocolate point Siamese. Neffie is sweet and loves to be near her humans, including sleeping at the foot of the bed and laying out on the couch next to you. She also loves attention and being pet and brushed, and will curl up on your lap. When the petting gets really good, she will stick out her tongue! She is occasionally interested in the laser pointer or feather toy, but mostly prefers to lounge about. She is great with other cats, either grooming and playing with them, or ignoring them, depending on what the other cat prefers. Neffie is great with her litter box and cat scratcher habits. She shows her true Siamese traits when she chirps and meows, loving talking with her humans. Neffie is FIV+, but will live a perfectly normal life indoors and is very low key with other cats. She will be great with kids of all ages and will probably be ok with most dogs. Will this pretty lady find a home with you?If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at www.caws.org.

About Community Animal Welfare Society

About Our Rescue Group...

Founded in 1992 the Community Animal Welfare Society ( CAWS) is one of the oldest no-kill animal rescues in Utah. Over the last 20 years CAWS, our fosters and supporters have saved thousands of lives including over 600 last this year. As the largest foster home network in the state of Utah we focus on high risk pets in need of additional care and rehabilitation

Come Meet Our Pets...

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.

Our Adoption Process...

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.
