  • Sex: Male

Han Solo was found chained in a yard when his family moved. He was brought to our shelter scared and very defensive. Our trainer has worked with him and he is now to the point where he enjoys being touched and loved on. He still has fears of some men so he needs to go to a very patient family preferably with respectful older children who can teach him how to trust. He is very active and would love a yard where he can play. He gets along with most dogs and has not been tested with cats.

Han Solo has had a rabies shot, 7-way shot, bordetella and been wormed. He is neutered, microchipped and heartworm tested negative. He came to the shelter 10/15.

Our adoption fee is $130.00 and it helps to cover a portion of the dog's vetting costs. The adoption process includes the completion of an application followed by an interview.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Please have a look at our available pups. If you see one you are interested in, contact us to set an appointment OR visit us at the Pet Food Center North on First Avenue in Evansville on Sunday between 11am and 4pm! Our shelter is a privately-owned kennel, therefore it is not open to the public. Viewing of dogs is by appointment only.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process consists of an adoption application followed by an interview. Upon arriving at the shelter, each dog receives a Bordetella shot, DHPPC vaccination and worming. At the veterinarian's office, our dogs receive a rabies vaccination, a spay or neuter surgery, and are tested for heartworm. If a dog tests positive, we treat the dog and then retest to confirm that the treatment was successful. Additionally, our dogs are microchipped before going home with their new family. Adoption fees are $85 and help to cover the cost of vetting.
