Padme's Story...
Padme truly is the queen of the house. This beautiful mama cat rules the house with an air of royalty that just demands everyone to love and respect her! She is a big lover but doesnt really cuddle much, however she will allow you to hold her or carry her even if she doesn't much want it. She let's you know when she wants your love with a big series of meows and rewards you with a loud, sweet purr. Her head is her favorite spot to be loved. Padme devours yummy wet food. She is a great young mommy who groomed her kittens and let them torture her with their playing with her tail, ears, feet, and basically anything they could reach! Padme is truly an amazing cat with a huge personality!!! Please complete an online adoption application at petpromise.org/adoption-application if you are interested in adopting Padme, and a volunteer adoption counselor will contact you.

PETPROMISE DOES NOT HAVE A SHELTER. Our pets are housed in volunteer foster homes while awaiting adoption. We do our best to ensure that all of the PetPromise pets and their new owners are the perfect match. For that reason the adoption process may take several days to complete and includes a mandatory home visit. We do our best to ensure that the adoption of the pet is "for life."

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Padme, a Columbus Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
