Sacramento -   Ben Kenobi loves food and can find a spare bit of kibble anywhere. He loves to cuddle almost as much as he loves to eat. He is brave; he was the first to climb down the daunting steps and enjoys tug of war. He's a little more mellow than his brother Alfred.

He will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines. You can find out more about our process and apply online at: http://recycledpetsnorcal.org/adoption-process/.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ben, a Sacramento Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
