Important Note

Toucan is best friends with Sandpiper. Please adopt both of them so they can stay together!
Toucan was rescued outside of the Metropolitan Opera, where she was found with her sister Sandpiper. The two are a bonded pair and would love to be adopted by you, together. Toucan wants only to make you happy. She also enjoys sitting on the windowsill, where she watches and chatters to the birds on the fire escape. Toucan is 2-years-old, litter-box-trained, spayed, and up-to-date on her shots.

About Lalitamba--Bell Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

Lalitamba (Bell Animal Shelter) is an all-volunteer, no-kill 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. We began as a limited-admission sanctuary for cats that were, due to age, behavior, or health condition, not readily adoptable. As we continued with our work, cats that needed homes and were adoptable began to show up. We now offer full-scale adoption services to help the kitties find their forever homes. Could it be with you?

Our Adoption Process...

Interested adopters are welcome to visit the cats in our free-roaming sanctuary or at their foster homes. When you meet a cat you'd like to adopt, please fill out an adoption information form. Your new friend will be ready for a home, with a wellness check-up, vaccines, and spay-neuter. The $125 adoption donation helps us to cover these costs and provide medical support for the sanctuary cats.
