My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

No one would blame Lola for being a bit traumatized! This sensitive girl was taken from the only home and family she had ever had. This was through no fault of her own...her mom had to move into a senior facility - No Dogs Allowed! We hope that Lola can serve as a lesson to us all...if you're a senior citizen or even a younger person, plans must be made in writing for your pets. If this doesn't occur, that devoted fuzzy friend will most often be placed in a high-kill municipal shelter.

Lola is definitely one of the lucky ones...her inner (and outer) beauty spoke volumes and our Texas rescuer couldn't say no (and we're so glad she couldn't!) Lola is a stunning Pomeranian mix...her silky golden coat just begs to be stroked. Our hearts go out to this lovely girl...she's anxious about the abrupt changes in her life (who wouldn't be??) and needs the patience, kindness and love of a true dog-lover to bring the spring back to her step.

Lola is approximately 6 - 7 years old (middle age for a small mix as they have very long life spans) and weighs only 10.8 lbs...the perfect weight to fit just right on any lap. That would bring Lola the greatest joy - to have a warm lap, soft strokes and calm, loving words. While Lola is a bit worried about her future...a home that can offer this type of companionship will make her shine brightly again.

Lola has shown herself to be a healthy girl with no known challenges. She also wouldn't be a pup who would lots and lots of exercise....a fenced yard for sunning would be lovely. Or leisurely walks around the neighborhood would fit the bill as well. Lola would be so happy just to be hanging out close to her favorite person (or people)...after all, you never know when there's an empty lap or a loving hand. We definitely envision Lola with retired folks who don't have the need for a super-active companion. Right now, a great match would be a family who just wants the most devoted (over time) and loving full-time companion. With true love and respect, Lola will return these emotions a million times over.

We're hoping that Lola is spayed prior to her transport to Boulder. If this doesn't occur, Farfel's is happy to cover the costs of her spay at our vet in Denver.

Lola has the most gorgeous, cotton-soft coat imaginable. She will therefore require periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep her coat silky-soft and matt-free.

Lola will be arriving on transport in Boulder on Friday 5/6/16. If interested in this adorable and sweet...and often very entertaining companion, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com or fax to 303-443-7730.
