Jakob's Story...
My looks are very unique and perhaps that plays into my insecure demeanor. I can be a bit over bearing toward other dogs and yet fearful of people. I am not comfortable wearing a leash. It’s going to take some patience to have me completely trusting of you but I believe you and I would make a fine team!

All dogs adopted from the Animal Care and Adoption Center Texarakana, Arkansas must be spayed or neutered. However this dog has already been neutered which means you only have to pay the adoption fee of $40. All dogs must be vaccinated for rabies and receive a microchip.

Act quickly to adopt Jakob. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jakob, a Texarkana Labrador Retriever/German Shorthaired Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/German Shorthaired Pointer for sale in Texarkana, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/German Shorthaired Pointer dog from a breeder in Texarkana.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Texarkana already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Texarkana breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/German Shorthaired Pointer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/German Shorthaired Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Texarkana paves the way for another one to be saved.
