Princess Ann's Story...
Meet Princess Ann. She is a 1 1/2 year old Japanese Chin/Chihuahua girl born 11-06-14 and weighing 8 lbs. She came to us when her human mom had to go to a nursing home. She loves to dance, but is startled by fast movements. She would probably do best in a home with no small children. If you would like more information about adopting, please email us at LLDogRescue@yahoo.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Princess Ann, a Shawnee Mission Japanese Chin/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Japanese Chin/Chihuahua for sale in Shawnee Mission, or seeking a Japanese Chin/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Shawnee Mission.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Shawnee Mission already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Shawnee Mission breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Japanese Chin/Chihuahua breeders who help with Japanese Chin/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Shawnee Mission paves the way for another one to be saved.
