Oliver Twist's Story...
OLIVER TWIST is a gentle pup who was picked up as a stray in Rives, TN. Since his rescue, he has been vetted, vaccinated, and he underwent surgery to repair two knees. He is neutered and tested negative for heartworm. He is a Border Collie/Hound mix male and he is between 18 months to 2 years old. He weighs 49 pounds. He is frightened of thunderstorms and other loud noises, such as fireworks, but otherwise he is a calm dog. He is working on leash training, but will need a little more work with that. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Oliver if it means he will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help our 501(c)3 non-profit rescue to cover the cost of the veterinary care he has received.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oliver Twist, a Union City Border Collie/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Union City, or seeking a Border Collie/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Union City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Union City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Union City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Border Collie/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Union City paves the way for another one to be saved.
