Estebina's Story...
Thanks to the wonderful people at Halo Animal Rescue in Arizona, our shelter successfully adopted all of the Chihuahuas at our Adopt-A-Thon in less than 2 hours last year! Since we had such great success, we will be hosting our 3rd annual Chihuahua Adopt-A-Thon and be opening our doors to 40 more Chihuahuas that are hoping to find their forever homes here in Idaho!

What? Chihuahua Adopt-A-Thon During Our Grand Opening at Federal Way.

When? Join us Saturday, May 7th from 12PM-4PM during our Grand Opening event at our new All Valley Pet Clinic location on Federal Way. May 7th from 12-4PM.

Where? Our new Federal Way pet clinic location at 6801 S. Federal Way, Boise ID 83716 at the corner of E. Gowen Rd. and S. Federal Way across from Albertsons.

Cost? The Grand Opening event is free to the public. But, adult adoptions are $50, puppies are $100. All adoptable dogs are already spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Cash and Credit/Debit Cards are accepted (no checks, please).

How? Be there promptly at 12PM, first come, first serve!

Can I see the dogs prior to adoption? Please check our website a few days prior to the event to see all of our available pets. We will not show any dogs in person before the event, no exceptions will be made out of fairness for all the adopters.

Can I adopt a dog early? Unfortunately not. Be there at 12PM so we can be fair to everyone that wants to find a forever friend, no exceptions will be made.

Can I take home my new friend the same day? Yes! Once you complete the paperwork and pay the adoption fee, you are free to take home your pet!

What if my new furry friend doesn’t work out? We will gladly take them back into AVAR and find them a new home that better fits their personality. However, after 30 days, we will charge a relinquishment fee of $50 to help us cover some of our future expenses for the pet.

Will there be other pets? Yes! We will have some large dogs available. Boise Bully Breed Rescue, Simply Cats and Idaho Saint Bernard Rescue will also be there and have dogs available for adoption-however, they require an application process and you most likely will not be able to take home a pet the same day.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Estebina, a Meridian Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
