Bruiser's Story...
AARF only adopts in Richmond, Virginia and the surrounding area.

Hi, my name is Bruiser. I was recently rescued from a local pound.
My foster daddy thinks I am the sweetest boy.

I live with cats and do fine with them. I am very shy and it took me awhile
to come inside but I am using the doggie door now. I need a patient family to grow
with me.

I have started walking on a harness with my foster dad. Although I don't like it
when he puts on me, I am doing very well walking. My foster home thinks I would be fine as the only dog as long as you love me.

If you're interested in adopting or meeting me,
please email aarfva@comcast.net Subject : Bruiser.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bruiser, a Richmond Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
