My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This sweet boy was clearly part of a family and was an inside dog. Sadly, when the bank foreclosed on the family home, they moved out and left him tied to the fence with a bag of dog food and his stuffed toy. It took neighbors in this rural county a couple of weeks to realize no one was coming back and the dog was still there. Finally he chewed himself loose. One of the neighbors repaired his cable and tied him back up. A few started giving him food and water when they thought of it. Finally after a month, someone called the sheriff. Since this county has no animal control the sheriff left him there and suggested someone try to find "the rescue lady". They contacted the vet on the mountain and they contacted us. When we got to the house he was immediately very sweet and friendly but he did not want to get in the car because he was sure his family was coming back for him. We finally got him home and with love and food he is good as new. He has now been neutered, fully vaccinated and we are relieved that he tested negative for heart worms! Casanova is the most loving dog! He has those bedroom eyes and even uses his foot to hug you. So far he has been completely house trained and seems fine with other animals. He loves to ride in the car and sits in the front seat and watches where he is going, looking left and right. He also walks very well on a leash. We are guessing from his teeth and health that he is a young guy, maybe a year and a half at most and weighs 55 lbs. If you would like to make this truly wonderful dog a permanent member of your family, please contact omlc7@hotmail.com and we will send you an application.
