My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet darling Walker, who we are fostering for Sacramento Independent Animal Rescuers (SIAR). He is an adorably sweet husky mix pup with the most amazing blue eyes. Walker is about 6 mos old at time of posting (May, 2016) and only 25lbs or so, so we believe he will stay under 40lbs. Because of his wonderful petite size, we're trying guess what else in in him. Maybe Shiba Inu? He is very social and does well with all the animals he has met. We think he is a bit too enthusiastic to go into a home with cats and he really wants to play chase!

It would be great if Walker could go to a home with another playful dog. He LOVES to play chase and romp. He is small and gentle enough to play with the geriatrics at the rescue ranch and they generally tolerate him. If he gets too annoying, they tell him so in "dog speak" and he goes off to another adventure. Walker would be a great addition to a home with a mature adult dog who is still young enough for his/her second wind.

He is crate trained and doing great! We would love to find him a loving home that will include him in their activities and be prepared to spoil him rotten! Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog. Visit the SIAR website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about SIAR rescue group AND to APPLY TO ADOPT.

Adoption fees range from $150-$250 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us.We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!
