Nala's Story...
Nala is the most beautiful and loving 10 year old Australian Shepherd Mix. She is very healthy and very active. Her ideal home would be one without cats and dogs where she could be the center of attention. She also would love someone who is going to take her for daily walks and give her a bed inside the home. She has lived most of her life as a backyard dog but is learning that inside is pretty sweet here at Rusty's Angels. She is playful, cuddly and just wants someone to love on her in her retirement years. She knows many commands; sit, shake, heal. She is very smart and just wants to please her human.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nala, a New River Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in New River, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in New River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New River paves the way for another one to be saved.
