Here's what the humans have to say about me:
May is a wonderful girl who had was found in terrible condition on the island of Anguilla in November 2015. She was a terrified stray, near death from starvation and trying to feed and protect her 7 puppies. Fortunately while foraging for something to eat she was noticed by a kind woman who contacted the Anguilla Animal Rescue Foundation who along with the woman who found her began bringing food to poor May three times a day. May began to recognize the sound of the volunteers cars and would come out of hiding for food. That's when the volunteers discovered the 7 puppies and decided to trap May and get her and her babies to safety.
Fast forward to May of 2016 and the new May! She has come such a very long way from when first found. She has raised all of her puppies as well as an orphaned puppy whose mother was killed by a car. She has learned to trust people although she is still a bit shy. She is strong, healthy and a very happy girl who is now ready to go to her forever home. May deserves so much to be loved and appreciated for the wonderful dog that she is.
Since May spent at least one year of her life living outside, she loves the outdoors and needs to have a fenced yard to run and to lounge in. She does well with other dogs but would also be happy in a quiet home where she could be the center of the universe!
