Lilac's Story...
This gorgeous bunny is Lilac. Lilac along with several other domestic rabbits were set free in a neighborhood and left to fend for themselves. She is now looking for a new home where she will be taken care of like a domestic bunny should and treated like a princess. Lilac recently gave birth, so she has some hair loss from her pregnancy hormones, but that should go back to normal soon. She will need her cage cleaned daily and fresh greens, timothy hay, and rabbit pellets. She really loves her greens and veggies! Lilac is a friendly girl but her new people will have to work on socializing her more because she has been on her own for a while. If you would like to meet this pretty lady please come fill out an application at the front desk!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lilac, a Bellingham Harlequin was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Harlequin for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Harlequin from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Harlequin breeders who help with Harlequin rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
