You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

All of our dogs are in foster homes and we have no paid staff.  If you have questions concerning a specific dog,  PLEASE fill out an application and the foster parent will be in touch.  We will not arrange any home visits with any of our dogs until your application is processed.  Please understand our foster parents are precious to our 2nd Chance family; without them we cannot function, so we do our best to not burden them with multiple appointments.  Our foster parents will choose their top 3 applications and arrange home visits with these applicants.  The adopter will be chosen at that time.  The process can take anywhere from a week to a month.  We want to make sure our little furry ones are placed in their "forever home" and never have to go through a rehoming again!

Hello, I'm Macho!  My foster parents say I should be named Shadow because I love to be with people and will follow you around everywhere.  I came from Philadelphia where I was rescued from the shelter with only 15 minutes left before I was going to be put down.  What a sad thing that would have been because I'm told I am a wonderful dog.  I am very friendly to all people, other dogs, I love to snuggle, and I'm crate-trained and housebroken too!  I love to go for walks but I don't need to go too far in order to get my exercise.  My foster parents did take me to the vet when I wasn't feeling so good and they found out that I have hypothyroidism.  But it's ok - I just need to take my pills every day (which I think they put in my treats when I'm not looking).  I've been feeling and doing great and I can't wait to find my forever family.  If you would like a well-mannered, loving, gentleman like me, please apply!

Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Please understand we do not adopt out to families with children under the age of 5.  We do not adopt to renters.  Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.

A dog is a lifetime commitment.  The dogs in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners :(   We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the dog is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs.  Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!

About 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is a foster network. Our goal is to find our precious little ones their "forever families" where they will live out the rest of their lives. Your dog is a part of your family and should be treated as such. You don't give away your children and neither should your loyal pet be dispensable!
All our dogs must be altered before adoption. Spay/Neuter is the only way to stop the senseless overpopulation we have now. Our hope is one day with education we will live in a society where shelters are not a necessity and no animal will die just for lack of space!

If the dogs page says requires fence it must be a physical fence
