Rocko was one of many dogs rescued from a house fire. Rocko is another sweet senior that is looking for his forever home. Rocko had cataracts so bad that he couldn't see. APR gave him eye surgery for a chance to see again. He is recovering from his surgery & is able to see out of 1 eye. He is a happy-go-lucky little guy that loves to play with toys but right now cannot have any toys for fear he will injure his eye. He will be able to have his toys again once he is completely healed, Rocko loves everybody. Loves attention, playing & short walks (don't forget he is a senior). Rocko would do best in a household with older children because he is a senior. He would also do well with an elderly couple. Rocko very much deserves a loving home so he could be happy for the rest of his life. Please come & meet Rocko!

PLEASE NOTE: We require all interested parties to come to the shelter to meet the pet, complete an adoption application, and interview with our Director. We do not do same day adoptions or ship animals. For additional information on our adoption policies, visiting hours and directions please go to Abandoned Pet Rescue.

About Abandoned Pet Rescue, Inc.

About Our Shelter...

Abandoned Pet Rescue is a 501 ( c ) (3) IRS tax-exempt, qualified charitable organization that rescues, shelters, and cares for countless abandoned and abused animals and finds them new homes. We have been serving the South Florida community since 1996. Our no-kill animal shelter is located in Ft. Lauderdale, where volunteers of all ages help perform the duties of running the shelter and our operations on a day-to-day basis, creating a mutually beneficial relationship between animals and the community. By conducting neighborhood sweeps, APR helps reduce the pet over population by spaying and neutering feral cats with the use of a mobile veterinary facility.
