Landon's Story...
Available June 5th.
Landon is one of 6 kittens born to a mama kitty who was abandoned by her family when they moved. His mama knew he and his siblings would be better off in a home and made sure they would have a home! She found a neighbor who had the door to his house open and carried Landon and his siblings one by one across a field into this house (imagine the homeowner's surprise!). Her efforts got her and her babies as far as the safety of foster care so far with the next and final step being to move them on to loving forever homes once they are old enough to leave mom.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Landon, a Evans Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Evans, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Evans.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Evans already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Evans breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Evans paves the way for another one to be saved.
