found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already spayed, up to date with shots, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.
Lilly is a beautiful white Domestic Medium Hair kitty with one blue eye and one green eye that is visible in natural light. Lilly was adopted into a home that had two other cats and a large dog, none of which was glad to see her. She lived almost three years under the couch and bed, so the dog couldn’t get to her, according to her owners. When they decided they no longer wanted her they took a broom to her to corner and trap her into a carrier. By the time they managed to get her into a corner she was totally terrorized and she bit the guy when he grabbed her. First ride in the car was to the Humane Society. She was tagged as a non-social biter so after the bite quarantine she was put on the non-adoptable list. Luckily, they weren’t full and the Director could tell that Lilly had been the victim for the past 3 years and not the mean kitty they suggested that she was. She got busy trying to find a rescue to come take her. Lilly needed a rescue friend ASAP. Stray Cat Blues took a chance and came to her rescue.
It took Lilly a month to relax and feel safe and she is now a happy, loving kitty that plays like the kitten she never got to be. She loves blankets, pillows, windows, and to be petted and loved.
She is still shy around new people since she has met some very unpleasant ones. But now she responds to kindness and patience. If you provide her a hiding place in the beginning and just talk to her, you will soon have a very loving companion who will talk to you and make you laugh with her kitten antics. She is 3.5 years old, but plays like a kitten!
Lilly would do best at being the only kitty to start with. But once she is confident and secure in her home, you could possibly introduce a second kitty if they were submissive to her. She has actually made friends with Kobe, a male foster I have close by to her but does not like the dominant female that was there when she arrived. If you are looking for 2 kitties, Kobe would be a great choice for her!
Lilly is spayed, microchipped, litterbox trained, up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV.
